Currently, Capers & Lemons Italian is seeking experienced line cooks to join its dynamic culinary team. This role is well-suited for kitchen professionals passionate about Italian cuisine and eager to contribute to a thriving kitchen environment. The restaurant offers flexible scheduling options including day and evening shifts, catering to various availability preferences. Line cooks at Capers & Lemons work under the guidance of Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, and senior kitchen staff. They play a vital role in preparing high-quality dishes that meet the restaurant’s exacting standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining station cleanliness, ensuring ingredient availability, and upholding exceptional hospitality standards that add to the guest experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a relevant kitchen role
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and maintain composure under pressure
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • Passion for Italian cuisine and culinary arts

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent emotional self awareness under pressure while maintaining a respectful, warm presence
  • Curious intelligence to continue learning in the position
  • Knowledge of various culinary procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
  • Good sense of taste and smell
  • Knowledge of a second language is a plus

Job Duties

  • Follow and fulfill the duties given by the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, or senior line cooks
  • Keep stations clean and well stocked with the ingredients required to cook the dish that they are asked to prepare
  • Enjoy providing great hospitality
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking according to menu specifications
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
