This opportunity is for the role of Line Cook, which centers primarily on breakfast service. As a Line Cook, the individual is responsible for managing their assigned cook station by properly setting it up and engaging with the kitchen team to fulfill guest orders swiftly and accurately. The Line Cook plays a critical role in preparing, cooking, and plating menu items to meet the established quality standards and maintain a clean, organized workstation. This position is scheduled mostly during weekends and holidays with breakfast shifts and offers a competitive starting pay rate of $22 per hour, dependent on experience. The Line Cook position at Restaurant 604 is ideal for culinary professionals passionate about food preparation and delivering excellent dining experiences while working in a dynamic and supportive team environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively
  • Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, products, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Must have a valid health card or equivalent
  • Must be able to perform simple math calculations and understand units and measures
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to lift, stoop, and bend
  • Must exhibit hand coordination and dexterity for rapid production

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Possess a valid health card or equivalent
  • Ability to perform simple math calculations and comprehend units and measures
  • Ability to stand and maintain mobility for an entire scheduled shift
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, stoop, and bend
  • Exhibit hand coordination and dexterity for rapid production
  • Experience in food preparation or line cooking preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive attendance including punctuality and appropriate shift coverage
  • Adhere to all sanitation and safety standards with audits scores of 90 percent or higher
  • Meet uniform, appearance, and grooming standards
  • Maintain a guest complaint ratio below 1 per 100 customers
  • Know and accurately explain all menu items and specials
  • Determine daily par levels with no more than 2 percent waste
  • Communicate orders accurately with 100 percent accuracy
  • Prepare and ensure quality standards are met 100 percent of the time
  • Communicate with expediter and servers promptly when orders are ready
  • Follow receiving and storage procedures with 100 percent accuracy
  • Complete meals for tables within 1 hour
  • Perform side work and end of shift checkout procedures precisely
  • Assist other team members with station duties and side work when needed or available
