We are currently seeking an ambitious and fun culinary team member to join the hardworking kitchen staff at the Le Meridien | Sheraton Charlotte Hotel. This role is central to enhancing the customer experience by ensuring that event guests receive top-notch service with enthusiasm and care. The position involves a variety of culinary responsibilities, including kitchen opening and closing duties when the Executive Chef is not available. The successful candidate will be expected to adhere strictly to all written recipes for menu items to maintain consistency and quality.

Key responsibilities also include reporting out-of-stock items directly to the Executive Chef, preparing all sauces and dishes for breakfast and lunch menus, and assisting with the setup of the restaurant and employee cafeteria buffet. Additionally, the role involves helping prepare soups under the Executive Chef’s direction and supervising and assisting dishwashers and pantry personnel. Maintaining order and proper procedures among dining room associates during ordering and pickups is another important duty, as well as performing dinner setup duties according to the prep list schedule. A strong emphasis on maintaining health and sanitation standards is critical to ensure the safety and satisfaction of guests.

Job Duties

  • Open kitchen in absence of Executive Chef
  • Close kitchen in absence of Executive Chef
  • Adhere to all prepared written recipes for all menu items
  • Report out of stock items to the Executive Chef
