Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior food preparation or culinary experience advantageous
- basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- ability to follow detailed recipe and production instructions
- physical capability to handle lifting and moving heavy goods
- availability to work flexible shifts and maintain punctual attendance
- commitment to upholding safety and security policies
- effective communication skills in English

Job Duties
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
- start food items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing estimated needs
- date all food containers and rotate per Crescent standards ensuring proper temperature for perishables
- check pars for shift use and determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line setup noting any shortages
- assist in keeping buffet stocked
- return unused food items to designated storage areas covering and dating perishables
- assist in setting up plans and actions to correct food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage
- operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill
- comply with attendance rules and perform all other assigned job duties
