  • Basic knife and food preparation skills
  • Understanding of safe food handling and storage
  • Must obtain ServeSafe certification
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Work directly with culinary team using state of the art equipment to prep fresh ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables and cutting meat
  • Responsible for prepping, labeling and stocking ingredients while maintaining organized and efficient workspace
  • Prepare any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
  • Interact with guests throughout the day showcasing passion for foodservice and dedication towards hospitality
  • Assist in training new culinary hires
  • Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
  • Inspire, motivate and recognize team
  • Complete tasks quickly and accurately
  • Maintain awareness of ingredients and potential allergens within recipes, paying special attention to guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
  • Communicate inventory and kitchen needs to Chef, including prep, grab and go items, cleaning and sanitization items and paper goods
  • Follow safe food handling procedures
  • Rotate stock items and store produce at appropriate temperatures, take ownership of dish station ensuring area is set up, stocked and clean
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning assignments
  • Empty trash as needed daily
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work environment
