Its portfolio offers a diverse range of dining options that cater to various tastes and preferences, providing convenience, quality, and innovation to millions of travelers every year. At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, SSP America manages a wide array of restaurant brands, including popular names such as Ballard Brew Hall, Mi Casa Cantina, Greedy Cow, Pei Wei, and Bad Egg, among others. These establishments emphasize fresh ingredients, distinct culinary styles, and efficient service to meet the dynamic needs of airport travelers and staff.

The Cook 2 position at SSP America offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to a vibrant and demanding food service operation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the high standards of food preparation and kitchen organization are consistently met. As a Cook 2, you will be responsible for following established recipes, maintaining proper food portions, garnishing dishes appropriately, and presenting them attractively to customers. You will handle the setup of the kitchen and workstations for each shift, which includes ordering, storing, and managing fresh, dry, and frozen goods as well as condiments and necessary supplies.

Your duties will extend to handling, storing, and properly rotating all stored products to minimize waste and maintain freshness. The role also involves maintenance and cleaning of assigned kitchen equipment and machines, ensuring they function optimally and meet hygiene standards. Daily responsibilities include managing the stock supply, cutting and storing perishable goods to uphold product quality, and maintaining cleanliness by putting away utensils and tidying work and storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers.

The Cook 2 is expected to practice rigorous cleaning protocols as instructed by management to satisfy overall hygiene standards mandated in food service environments. Working collaboratively with managers is essential, as you will take instructions at the start of shifts and participate in stock checks at the end of each day to ensure compliance with operational requirements. This role requires a candidate who is not only skilled in culinary preparation but also committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment.

This position is immediate hire with an hourly wage of $26.36. It presents opportunities for career advancement within the company's extensive network, encouraging professional growth and development. SSP America supports its employees with comprehensive benefits offerings and fosters an inclusive work culture where all employees feel valued and respected. If you are passionate about culinary arts and eager to enhance the dining experience of travelers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, this Cook 2 role could be an ideal fit for you.
