This full-time position offers a competitive pay range of $18.66 to $21.24 per hour, depending on experience, skills, knowledge, and geographic location. Line Cook 2 will engage directly with the culinary team, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to wash and chop vegetables, cut meat, and prepare fresh ingredients necessary for daily kitchen operations. The role also involves prepping, labeling, and efficiently stocking ingredients while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Additionally, the candidate will prepare sauces and accompaniments ahead of meal service and actively engage with guests to showcase the company’s passion for foodservice and hospitality.
This position also plays a vital role in mentoring new culinary hires and assisting in their training, emphasizing clear verbal and written communication. Candidates must be able to inspire and motivate their team while ensuring their tasks are completed quickly and accurately. A strong awareness of ingredient allergens and dietary restrictions is critical to guarantee the health and satisfaction of all guests. Line Cook 2 is also responsible for maintaining effective communication with the Chef regarding inventory, kitchen needs, and cleaning supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Furthermore, the role demands strict adherence to safe food handling procedures, proper stock rotation, and maintaining produce storage at appropriate temperatures. The individual will take ownership of assigned dish stations, ensuring they are well-stocked and clean, while also participating in daily and weekly cleaning schedules and waste management tasks. The overall goal is to maintain a clean, sanitary, and efficient work environment that meets the company’s high standards.
