We are currently hiring for the position of Cook 2 at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, offering a competitive pay rate of $26.36 per hour. As a Cook 2, you will be responsible for following specific recipes, portioning food accurately, and presenting dishes to meet customer expectations consistently. You will ensure your kitchen station is thoroughly stocked and organized for every shift, managing fresh, dry, and frozen goods efficiently. Proper storage, rotation of food products, and maintenance of kitchen equipment are key duties that contribute to maintaining food safety and quality.
Your role will also include prepping perishable goods daily to uphold product freshness and readiness, as well as comprehensive cleaning duties to maintain hygiene standards set by management. Effective communication with your manager during shift changes ensures smooth transitions and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of food service experience, a high school diploma (preferred), solid verbal and written communication skills, basic math proficiency, and any required food handler permits or brand certifications. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work in confined spaces is also necessary.
