Our company works with a diverse range of foodservice brands that reflect unique tastes and local influences, creating memorable dining experiences that travelers look forward to. At SSP America, we are committed to operating our establishments with a focus on cleanliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, which is why we value dedicated team members who share our passion for excellence in hospitality.
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Utility/Dishwashers at various airport locations. This role is vital to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene that SSP America is known for. As a Utility/Dishwasher, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing restaurant units, which not only aids in preserving the health and safety of our guests but also ensures a pleasant work environment for fellow team members. This is an entry-level position with great hourly pay starting at $20.00, offering two weeks of paid time off, immediate hiring, and excellent opportunities for career advancement within the company.
The Utility/Dishwasher role at SSP America involves a variety of essential tasks that keep our restaurants running smoothly. Key responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of floors, walls, ceilings, windows, kitchen equipment, and work surfaces. You will be managing waste removal, resetting dining areas between customers, and handling dishwashing duties either by hand or with commercial dishwashers. Additionally, this role requires using specific cleaning chemicals to meet sanitary standards and may involve operating heavy cleaning equipment. Working with our guests and communicating effectively with servers and supervisors is also part of your daily interactions.
Ideal candidates will have at least six months of experience in retail or food service environments, a high school diploma (preferred), strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to read, speak, and understand English. A food handler's permit and brand certification may be required depending on the location and specific brand. This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces. SSP America supports equal employment opportunities and provides reasonable accommodations during the hiring process for qualified applicants with disabilities. Joining our team means becoming part of a company dedicated to quality, inclusivity, and growth in the hospitality industry.
