The role of a Cook at Marriott Vacations Worldwide is pivotal in delivering memorable vacation moments to guests. The position is hourly, paying $22.30 per hour, and is part-time with shifts available on the 1st and 2nd shifts, requiring availability on weekends and holidays. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food by operating various kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all food is prepared safely and according to established food safety standards, including HACCP guidelines. This involves cooking all potentially hazardous foods to the correct temperatures, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food safety programs, following company policies rigorously, and managing a clean, organized workstation. The role requires physical stamina to perform tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting, and standing for extended periods. In addition to technical cooking skills, you will play a vital part in the guest experience by welcoming and greeting guests, anticipating their needs, and supporting a collaborative team environment. Job Requirements

  • Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 lbs without assistance
  • Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Part-time availability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen

Job Duties

  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods
