The role of Line Cook at Puttery is an essential part of its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing menu items accurately and consistently according to established company recipes and presentation standards. This role involves setting up and stocking stations with the necessary supplies before each shift to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. The Line Cook is expected to maintain a clean and sanitary workspace throughout their shift, adhering strictly to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to uphold the highest standards of food safety.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a high-volume culinary environment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Willingness to assist in training others

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience in a high-volume environment required
  • Multi-station experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and physically demanding environment
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • Safe Food Handler certification preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and measuring
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before each shift
  • Cook menu items accurately and efficiently according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout service
  • Label and store all food products properly after each shift
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with training new kitchen team members as requested
  • Communicate equipment or supply needs to management promptly
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
