This iconic venue thrives on providing guests with a memorable experience that extends beyond the performance to include high-quality catering and food services. The Greek Theatre historic significance combined with the operational excellence of Legends Global has positioned it as a pinnacle destination for both artists and audiences alike.
The role of Line Cook at The Greek Theatre is pivotal in sustaining the venue’s culinary reputation and operational success. This role demands a high level of efficiency, organization, and a commitment to food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment and possess the ability to quickly adapt to the evolving demands of large-scale food service during busy events. As part of a dedicated team, the Line Cook will contribute to all aspects of food preparation, from setting up stations to ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices are meticulously followed.
A core responsibility for the Line Cook is the preparation of a wide array of menu items ranging from meats and seafood to poultry and vegetables, ensuring each dish meets the quality standards set forth by the kitchen. Attention to detail is paramount as this includes compliance with portion control, cooking methods, and adapting orders for guests with food allergies or intolerances. Safety and hygiene are also critical in this role, with continuous adherence to safe food handling, proper labeling, and maintaining sanitary work areas including coolers and storage spaces. This position also requires teamwork and strong communication skills as the Line Cook collaborates regularly with fellow culinary staff and supervisors to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
In addition to the operational duties, employees at The Greek Theatre are union members covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11. This underscores the commitment to fair labor practices and the supportive work environment Legends Global promotes.
