A Line Cook at Torchy's not only prepares and cooks food but also consistently monitors quality and presentation to ensure every dish meets the company's Damn Good standards before it reaches the guest. Job Duties
- Master the fry station ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
- Operate the grill station cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
- Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes
- Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming maintaining the right texture and flavor
- Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring each meets high standards and guests expectations
- Prepare and cook ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Monitor quality and presentation of each dish ensuring every taco meets standards before reaching guest
- Maintain clean and organized work station ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Collaborate with back-of-house team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
- Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients to ensure kitchen readiness
- Operate with urgency during busy periods to keep up with guest demand while maintaining quality and presentation
