The role of the Line Cook is pivotal in the kitchen hierarchy. This role involves hands-on food preparation and presentation across multiple kitchen stations such as pantry, sauté, and grill. The Line Cook must follow standardized recipes to deliver consistent dishes that meet guest expectations. In addition to cooking duties, the role includes assisting in cleaning kitchen areas and equipment, as well as preparing food in advance of service hours to support smooth kitchen operations.

The Line Cook must also strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including safe food handling, knife safety, and the correct use of kitchen equipment. The position demands a flexible schedule, including availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays, ensuring full coverage of kitchen operations. Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers and communicate clearly in English. Prior kitchen experience is required, along with the ability to execute various cooking techniques such as sautéing, braising, frying, poaching, and roasting.   • Active Food Handler certificate is preferred

Job Duties

  • Food preparation and presentation in one or more stations of a large commercial kitchen: pantry, saute, grill
  • Follow standardized recipes and ensure consistent preparation according to guest specifications
  • Participate in cleaning of kitchen areas and equipment
  • Assist with proper storage, preparation, cooking and presentation of all food items
  • Assist with food preparation in advance of food service hours
  • Follow all safety guidelines include safe-handling of food items, knife safety, safe usage of kitchen equipment, etc.
