Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for long periods of time
- must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs
- must be able to lift and carry heavy trays and multiple plates from the kitchen to tables
- must be able to safely use a ladder
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook in a high-volume environment
- strong knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- must be available to work weekends and holidays
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
- must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- Ensure the highest quality of culinary services for our guests
- quickly, safely, and efficiently prepare food in accordance with our preparation and execution standards
- follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste and maximize profitability
- accurately utilize technology to recognize and complete food ticket orders
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area including equipment, countertops, walk-in coolers, and storage areas to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment
- assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, labeling prep items, receiving supplies, and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies
- collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively to ensure timely preparation and service of meals
- assist with dishwashing and food prep duties as needed
- maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation at all times
- follow all safety procedures
- execute opening and closing procedures
- remove trash, safely operate a trash compactor, and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area
- other duties as assigned
