The Line Cook position at Stonebridge in Brisbane, California is a part-time role classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Line Cook plays a vital role in delivering high-quality culinary experiences to guests across various dining venues including breakfast, lunch, dinner services, banquets, and room service. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $24 per hour. The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare and cook food according to established hotel standards, ensuring consistency in quality and safety at all times. This includes efficient operation of cooking stations, adherence to designated recipes, and maintenance of cleanliness and food sanitation protocols. The Line Cook prepares ingredients in advance, manages guest orders with professionalism, and inspects food before it leaves the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and safety.

In addition to routine cooking duties, the Line Cook is expected to handle pantry items, sandwiches, salads, and desserts with skill and precision. Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in culinary arts or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • Safe Serve/Food Handler's certification required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in varying kitchen temperatures and exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to stand and perform physical kitchen duties for extended periods
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications
