The role of Line Cook at The 5 Spot Midtown is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and committed to career growth. This full-time position offers a starting pay of $18 per hour, with growth opportunities based on performance evaluations and achievement of benchmark goals. Additionally, employees benefit from monthly bus pass assistance, making commuting more accessible. The Line Cook position involves working in a professional and responsive manner to deliver an exceptional dining experience for every guest. This role requires preparation and cooking of meats, fish, vegetables, and other hot foods, along with portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes to meet the high standards of the restaurant.

Job Duties
- Knowledge and promotion of The 5 Spot culture and brand
- Knowledge of all items on our menu
- Knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness standards and the ability to adhere to these standards
- Use of industrial kitchen equipment
- Maintaining and contributing to a safe and respectful working environment for both staff and customers by using proper food handling skills and following workplace safety guidelines, thereby reducing the risk of injury or accident
- Making sure the kitchen team’s work areas are clean and organized
- Following all company operating policies and procedures
- Supporting the actions and decisions of Management
