The gastropub combines the excitement of airport dining with the comfort of a neighborhood eatery, serving a variety of innovative dishes and classic favorites. The establishment is committed to maintaining high standards of food safety, customer service, and culinary excellence to ensure every guest has a memorable experience.
We are currently hiring Line Cooks to join our team at Mad Town Gastropub. This role offers both full-time and part-time shifts with a competitive wage starting at $19.00 per hour. Employees receive valuable benefits including two weeks of paid time off, a free meal during each shift, and immediate hiring opportunities. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen operations by following recipes accurately and practicing portion control to prepare, garnish, and present menu items. Handling, storing, and rotating products appropriately to ensure freshness and quality falls under your duties. The role also includes the upkeep and breakdown of kitchen equipment and machinery, alongside managing perishables daily. You are expected to complete all opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required and take responsibility for the quality of the food served. The ability to perform assigned cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products while adhering to health standards is essential to this position. Other duties may also be assigned as necessary.
We are looking for candidates who are at least 18 years old, have a minimum of one year of line cook experience in a restaurant setting, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to read, speak, and understand English is necessary for effectively communicating with guests and coworkers. Basic math skills and the physical capability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods are also required.
