Job Description
The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is a distinguished hospitality company founded in 2009 by Steve Palmer. IRHG is recognized for its commitment to creating an environment where hospitality transcends a mere job and evolves into a family, a lifestyle, and a continuous, exciting journey. With over 30 locations under its umbrella, the company places a strong emphasis on taking care of its employees first, believing that a well-supported team delivers the finest guest experience. IRHG provides generous benefits, internal growth opportunities, and a culture infused with heart and passion for the hospitality industry. Their mission aims to change the hospitality industry forever by fostering a people-first approach.
The role of a Line Cook at IRHG is pivotal to maintaining the high standards and quality that guests expect. This position requires dedication to consistency and perfection in every dish prepared and presented. As a member of a team-oriented kitchen environment, the Line Cook is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing, stocking, and maintaining the highest quality cuisine following the company's standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen rules. Attention to sanitation and cleanliness is paramount, ensuring that all workstation areas—from grills to refrigeration equipment—adhere strictly to Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) regulations.
Line Cooks are expected to close the kitchen properly, following closing checklists and assisting others as needed. They must promptly communicate any product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to the Chef to maintain smooth kitchen operations. This role also demands effective communication skills to interact seamlessly with managers, team members, and guests.
Candidates must be prepared for a physically demanding environment, including standing and walking for extended periods with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, rewarding work environment where growth and development within the hospitality field are encouraged and supported.
IRHG prides itself on cultivating a positive workplace culture where teamwork, energy, and a passion for hospitality are deeply valued. Joining IRHG means becoming part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing memorable dining experiences while fostering professional growth and personal fulfillment. Competitive salary and benefits packages further enhance the appeal of this role, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to build a meaningful career in the hospitality industry.
