The role we are offering is for a Line Cook who will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen operations. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items in accordance with our recipes and yield guides, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish. This position involves directing, training, and monitoring the performance of other Line Cooks, fostering a collaborative and efficient work atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be proactive in organizing the workstations, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to sanitation protocols.

This full-time position requires someone with a strong work ethic who can take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Line Cook will manage production and prep assignments, communicate any changes during shifts, and ensure that all kitchen tasks are completed to the highest standard. Additionally, the Line Cook will coordinate with the Sous Chef to manage supply requisitions and support the overall kitchen operations.

Prospective candidates should be experienced in working across all stations on the line, possess a valid food handling certification, and be comfortable with variable schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • 5 years experience as a Line Cook at a hotel, resort or restaurant
  • Ability to work all stations on the line
  • Food handling certification required
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Enjoy working as part of a team providing great guest experiences
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment
  • Prolonged sitting and computer work 6-8 hours a day
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, or carrying items
  • Frequent fine motor skills for typing and office equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to lift or move 10-25 pounds
  • Visual ability to read screens and materials
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
  • Directs, trains, and monitors performance of Line Cooks
  • Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Prepare and assign production and prep work for Line Cooks to complete
  • Review priorities and communicate additions or changes throughout the shift
  • Set up work station with required mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies
  • Breakdown work stations and complete closing duties at the end of the day
  • Inform the Sous Chef of any supplies needed for the day
