As a Roast and Grill Cook at Fresh Kitchen, you will be responsible for helping prepare high-quality, fresh food from scratch, following recipes and food specifications diligently to ensure consistency and excellence. The role demands a fast-paced, performance-driven worker who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Cooking operations involve the use of various kitchen machinery including knives, ovens, grills, gas stoves, food processors, and blenders — all of which require proper handling to uphold Fresh Kitchen’s rigorous safety and sanitation requirements. You'll regularly set up, break down, and clean your food preparation station to support both your success and that of your teammates.
This position offers an hourly wage range of $17 to $22, reflecting the responsibility and skill required. Job Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- previous culinary experience with a strong passion for food and people and good knife skills
- team player with a good attitude and works with a sense of urgency
- ability to read and follow written recipes
- reliable transportation to and from work
- ability to work in both hot and cool environments
- able to lift at least 20 pounds and frequently squat and bend
- self accountable in upholding high standards
- able to work in a fast-paced setting for up to 8 hours daily or as needed
- willingness to learn and develop
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification if not have will assist in certification
Job Qualifications

- Preparing high quality fresh food from scratch at high volumes
- following recipes and adhering to food specifications ensuring quality and consistency
- maintaining pars and counts of responsible items
- ensuring all food meets food safety and quality standards to eliminate cross-contamination
- using kitchen machinery such as knives ovens grills gas stoves food processors and blenders properly complying with food safety and sanitation standards
- properly setting up breaking down and cleaning your station
- performing additional responsibilities as requested
