We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The Line Cook will play an essential role in supporting the Head Chef in executing the menu by preparing and presenting dishes that meet our exacting standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours and ensuring that each dish leaving the kitchen upholds the quality and presentation customers expect. As a part of the kitchen brigade, the Line Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items according to recipes provided by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef and will also practice proper food safety and knife handling techniques. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays with variable overtime
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Food handlers certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or GED preferred
  • 1 year restaurant experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items as directed by the recipes provided by the Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef
  • Ensure that the quality and presentation of food products meet company standards
  • Prepare, finish and garnish all menu items
  • Practice proper food and knife handling
  • Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills
  • Maintain a clean workstation during service time
  • Disinfect and sanitize cutting boards and worktables
  • Ensure kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are always maintained
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must have related kitchen tools
