Job Description
The golf course hospitality team is dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences in a dynamic and customer-focused environment. Known for its lush greens and inviting clubhouse atmosphere, this establishment offers a unique blend of recreational and culinary services catering to golfers and guests alike. As a part of this vibrant community, the kitchen staff plays a vital role in ensuring that all food offerings match the high standards of the venue, contributing to the overall enjoyment of every visitor. The setting includes a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment characterized by exposure to heat, steam, noise, and food odors, typical of a bustling golf course kitchen during peak times and special events such as tournaments and banquets. The team thrives on teamwork, professionalism, and a passion for culinary excellence, striving to provide timely and consistent quality across all menu items.
The Line Cook position is integral to this mission, responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. This role supports daily food service operations while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment, demonstrating the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately. This job requires efficient work in a fast-paced setting and strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. Physically, the role demands the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Duties include setting up and stocking kitchen stations with necessary supplies, assisting with food preparation tasks such as chopping and portioning, and maintaining the cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment. The role also involves assisting with inventory control processes, including labeling, dating, and rotating food products to ensure freshness and compliance with safety standards. Flexibility is crucial as the position necessitates working varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional responsibilities may include support for special events, banquets, or tournaments as assigned, providing an opportunity for the Line Cook to contribute to exciting projects and grow within the team.
Our organization promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals feel valued and respected. We encourage qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds, including women, minorities, individuals with disabilities, and veterans, to apply. By joining our team, candidates will have the chance to develop their culinary skills within a supportive environment committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
