Grounded Table is a vibrant wine country restaurant and pub situated in the historic downtown of McMinnville, Oregon. The role available at Grounded Table is for a Line Cook, a critical position charged with creating menu magic that delights guests and showcases culinary skills. This is a hands-on role where the Line Cook will be responsible for preparing daily menu items with precision and care. Essential to this position is the ability to maintain a clean, sanitary, and efficient station, ensuring food is prepared promptly without compromising quality or safety. The Line Cook will be entrusted with opening and closing individual kitchen stations and must demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork. Experience in cooking proteins to pre-determined temperatures, an understanding of both major and minor sauces, and knowledge of meat and fish cookery are key skills for this role. The position demands strong communication skills for effective interactions with kitchen staff and management, including the ability to read and understand instructions and present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings. This is a physically demanding position requiring prolonged standing, bending, and the ability to lift supplies up to 50 pounds. At least three years of industry experience and a valid State Food Handler's License are necessary.
