We are currently seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team on either a full-time or part-time basis. In this role, you will be entrusted with preparing and cooking a variety of menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards, ensuring the highest level of quality and presentation. The successful candidate will have proven experience in culinary arts and kitchen operations, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to food safety regulations. This position involves collaboration with other kitchen staff to facilitate timely food production and the ability to contribute to menu development by assisting in creating new dishes and specials.

The role requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following proper portion control and presentation standards, and assisting in managing inventory and supply orders. Additionally, the Cook will support the training of new kitchen staff members, promoting a positive work environment and reinforcing the team’s commitment to excellence. This role may involve occasional exposure to potential risks such as handling raw ingredients, and comprehensive safety training will be provided to minimize these risks. The Cook must also be comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting supplies up to 25 lbs, and may be required to use office equipment such as kitchen appliances, knives, and computers for recipe lookup and inventory management.

Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma with culinary certification preferred, excellent communication skills, strong teamwork and leadership abilities, and a genuine passion for cooking and providing exceptional service. Experience in a restaurant setting, preferably with some fine dining exposure, is advantageous. Candidates must be able to commute or relocate to Vancouver, WA prior to starting work.
