Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- ability to lift up to 50lbs
- ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- must follow all health and safety guidelines and sanitation protocols
- willing to wear safety gear including slip-resistant shoes
- must have superior attendance and punctuality
- availability to work nights, weekends and holidays preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- strong hand-eye coordination
- ability to multitask effectively
- attention to detail
- previous experience in a similar role preferred
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare dishes based on established recipes and portion sizes
- handle tasks such as grilling, frying, broiling, and baking
- set up, stock, and maintain your workstation, ensuring it is clean, organized, and following safety measures
- ensure all ingredients, prepped items, and prepared dishes meet company presentation and taste standards
- assist in expediting orders as needed
- follow all food safety and sanitation practices, including washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing ingredients as well as DCHD protocols
- work with head chef, kitchen management and kitchen staff to improve service, performance, and safety
- help with additional duties as needed
- adhere to all company guidelines and policies including health standards, conduct, and safety procedures
- be aware of any safety concerns and report them promptly
- wear safety gear, including slip-resistant shoes
- maintain superior attendance and punctuality
- able to work nights, weekends and holidays
