We are currently seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring that every dish leaving the kitchen meets our strict standards for quality, consistency, and presentation. The Line Cook will work closely with the Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to prepare menu items according to established recipes and portion sizes while maintaining a clean and organized workstation. This position demands someone who can operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks at once while paying close attention to detail.

Responsibilities include cooking and preparing dishes using various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, broiling, and baking. The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting up and stocking their station, ensuring it is maintained in compliance with safety and sanitation protocols. Attention to quality control is critical, ensuring all ingredients and prepared dishes meet company standards for taste and presentation. Adherence to all health and safety guidelines, including food safety regulations and sanitation practices, is required, including all protocols outlined by the local health department.

The Line Cook will collaborate closely with the kitchen team to optimize service and maintain high performance levels. They will assist with order expediting and contribute to a safe working environment by wearing the appropriate safety gear and reporting any safety concerns immediately. Superior attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays are preferred qualities for this position. Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare dishes based on established recipes and portion sizes
  • handle tasks such as grilling, frying, broiling, and baking
  • set up, stock, and maintain your workstation, ensuring it is clean, organized, and following safety measures
  • ensure all ingredients, prepped items, and prepared dishes meet company presentation and taste standards
  • assist in expediting orders as needed
  • follow all food safety and sanitation practices, including washing, peeling, cutting, and preparing ingredients as well as DCHD protocols
  • work with head chef, kitchen management and kitchen staff to improve service, performance, and safety
  • help with additional duties as needed
  • adhere to all company guidelines and policies including health standards, conduct, and safety procedures
  • be aware of any safety concerns and report them promptly
  • wear safety gear, including slip-resistant shoes
  • maintain superior attendance and punctuality
  • able to work nights, weekends and holidays
