Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Employment subject to successfully completing a background check and/or CORI screening
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety
- Ability to follow recipes and specs while maintaining consistency
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, equipment, and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary practices
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, monitoring stock rotation, and maintaining proper storage
- Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and fryers to cook food at correct temperatures
- Season, cook, and prepare food according to recipes and specs
- Observe foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food for service
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using proper kitchen equipment
- Bake, roast, broil, fry, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- Maintain prep lists, set up stations, and complete side work as assigned
- Follow food safety guidelines and track shelf life of all products
- Prepare all orders within specified ticket times while maintaining consistency
- Keep work areas clean and organized, including mopping floors, taking out trash, and organizing linens
- Assist with food prep and support teammates as needed
- Answer employee or guest questions about menu items and ingredients
- Demonstrate a positive team-oriented attitude at all times
- Complete any other tasks delegated by management
