Job Description
Eureka! is a vibrant fast casual restaurant brand committed to delivering a memorable dining experience through its shared values of Energy, Discovery, and Community. At Eureka!, the focus is on making people feel good and alive by serving an authentic and local blend of America's best flavors. With a culture driven by passion and a commitment to excellence, Eureka! attracts a diverse clientele of guests who appreciate high-quality food offerings and crave authentic taste sensations. Employees at Eureka! are encouraged to bring enthusiasm and joy through their service, enhancing both guest experiences and team dynamics. The company values a collaborative workplace where employees support one another and contribute to a positive environment.
The role offered is that of a Line Cook, a vital position within the kitchen responsible for preparing menu items according to strict quality and time standards. This non-exempt position reports directly to the Kitchen Manager and indirectly to other managers within the organization. The Line Cook plays a crucial role in ensuring food is assembled, cooked, and presented to meet or exceed Eureka!'s standards, while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. This is a fast-paced and physically demanding role that requires standing for prolonged periods, precise execution of recipes, and effective teamwork. The Line Cook also handles various kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and slicing tools, guaranteeing the safe and efficient use of these devices in harmony with food safety practices.
In addition to food preparation, this role requires excellent communication skills for coordinating with other line positions and the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive attitude, punctuality, and adherence to company policies as outlined in the employee handbook and training manuals. Equal emphasis is placed on maintaining rigorous cleanliness standards on workstations, cooking surfaces, and the overall kitchen area. The position also involves occasional assistance with prep work, salad making, and dishwashing duties as needed. This role offers an opportunity to work in an energetic and supportive environment where culinary skills are valued and developed. The wage for this position is specified as non-exempt, with hourly pay to be confirmed during the hiring process. Eureka! fosters an at-will employment relationship, offering flexibility for both employees and employer. This job is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts, eager to be part of a dynamic team, and committed to providing an excellent guest experience.
