Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience preferably in healthcare skilled nursing or senior living settings
  • ability to work full-time hours including weekends
  • successful completion of background screening prior to employment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • good physical stamina and manual dexterity

Job Duties

  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables butchering meat or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • ensure food comes out simultaneously in high quality and timely manner
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
