Job Description
Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux is one of the fastest growing franchises in America, known for its vibrant gameday atmosphere and a unique taste of Louisiana that keeps customers coming back. This popular restaurant chain prides itself on combining a passion for great food and fun in an environment that is exciting and welcoming. Walk-On's is dedicated to fostering a winning culture where every team member, from hosts to kitchen staff, plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience to guests. The company values team camaraderie and believes in working for the name on the front, emphasizing collective success over individual accolades.
Walk-On's is currently looking to hire dedicated and energetic Line Cooks who bring enthusiasm and professionalism to the fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. This role is perfect for individuals with a multitasking mindset who can maintain positive and cordial relationships with both supervisors and other staff members while adhering strictly to health and safety standards. The position is part-time, typically requiring up to 29 hours a week on average, with fluctuations depending on business needs. As a Line Cook, employees play a central role in ensuring food quality and consistency by strictly following recipes, maintaining cleanliness and safety guidelines, and supporting the kitchen team in day-to-day operations. This role not only demands technical skills like proper food preparation and the use of kitchen equipment but also attributes such as reliability, a winning personality, and a strong teamwork mentality.
The position includes responsibilities such as preparing food items per Walk-On's recipes and procedures, practicing clean-as-you-go techniques to avoid cross contamination, and assisting with tasks including receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining a sanitary work area. Workers must be reliable and punctual, consistently present themselves in a clean uniform, and be willing to assist wherever needed. For those passionate about food service and looking for an engaging part-time role in a fun and dynamic environment, Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux offers an exciting opportunity to grow and contribute to a successful team. The company also complies with federal health reform laws regarding part-time work and offers potential opportunities for health plan eligibility based on hours worked over a 12-month period.
