Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen settings preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines and procedures
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food industry settings
  • Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist with cooking and food assembly to support the culinary team in delivering timely meals
  • Follow food safety protocols diligently to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination
  • Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and prepping items in advance
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation standards throughout your shift
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and excellent food service delivery
