Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen settings preferred
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines and procedures
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food industry settings
- Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or serving is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Multitask
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting culinary operations
Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with cooking and food assembly to support the culinary team in delivering timely meals
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination
- Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and prepping items in advance
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation standards throughout your shift
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and excellent food service delivery
