Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Cook
  • Serve Safe certification
  • knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
  • understanding of sanitation practices
  • ability to communicate in English
  • reliable transportation
  • able to lift at least 50 lbs
  • capable of standing for long durations
  • team member spirit
  • able to follow safety protocols
  • commitment to quality and presentation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Cook
  • Serve Safe certification
  • considerable knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations in an upscale environment
  • strong understanding of sanitation practices
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

  • ability to foster relationships with members and team
  • sense of urgency to exceed member expectations

Job Duties

  • Work knowledge of broiler, pantry and sauté stations
  • confer with Sous Chef for menu requirements and food supplies
  • prepare and cook food according to specifications and proper presentation
  • portion food and issue to servers upon order
  • prepare cold side items according to menus and specials
  • make daily preparations of menu items in high quality and presentation manner
  • assist in other food preparation for events as needed
  • clean work area when cooking is completed
  • assist in keeping kitchen area clean including walk-in freezers and dry storage
  • operate equipment in safe and sanitary manner
  • report food supply shortages or problems to Sous Chef
  • assist in receiving and storage of food as necessary
  • perform other duties as requested
  • cook hot side food items for banquets and support other cooks in food preparation
  • break down the station at the end of each shift including turning off equipment and lights, locking storage areas
