Job Description
HHM is a reputable hospitality company known for delivering exceptional food service experiences with a focus on quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. The company prides itself on a vibrant work culture, career growth opportunities, and comprehensive employee benefits. HHM operates in the foodservice and hospitality industry and is committed to excellence in every aspect of its culinary operations.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This position offers hourly compensation ranging from $21.00 to $22.00. As a Cook at HHM, you will play a critical role in preparing food items that meet established production requirements, guest service standards, and sustainability guidelines. Your contribution is key to maintaining consistent quality and portion control while managing food preparation efficiently.
In this role, you will be expected to follow recipe cards closely and adhere to production and portion standards to ensure that every dish served meets the company’s high expectations. You will be responsible for pre-preparing food items ahead of service times without overextending, managing the rotation of perishable food supplies by properly dating and storing items according to company policies, and monitoring the inventory to ensure adequate stock for upcoming shifts.
Your duties will also involve maintaining kitchen tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and operational efficiency. Food safety is paramount, so you will be required to practice safe work habits including wearing protective gear and adhering to MSDS and OSHA standards to create a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues.
The role also offers a clear career progression path starting as a Cook, advancing to Lead Cook, then Sous Chef, and potentially to Assistant to the Head Chef, making it an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking to grow their careers within a supportive workplace.
HHM values the well-being of its employees and offers attractive benefits such as competitive wages for both full-time and part-time positions, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401k company match program, and free basic life insurance. Additionally, employees enjoy perks like travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, employee assistance and wellness programs, educational and professional development opportunities, and a referral bonus scheme.
Working at HHM requires physical endurance including standing for extended periods, lifting items up to 50 pounds, and engaging in repetitive movements like bending, stooping, and kneeling. The work schedule is variable and may include holidays and weekends, reflecting the nature of the hospitality industry.
At HHM, we believe in people as our greatest capability, hearts that serve our customers, a commitment to only excellence, staying nimble in our operations, and taking ownership of our roles and responsibilities. If you are passionate about food preparation and eager to grow in a professional kitchen environment, HHM is the place for you to thrive and succeed.
