Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years cooking experience
- Food Handlers Certificate
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand and move for extended periods
- reliable transportation to Los Angeles, CA 90013
- willingness to work in person
- strong communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred
- strong work ethic and willingness to take direction and learn
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment
- ability to stand and move for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Food Handlers Certificate required
- must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- assist with basic prep tasks such as washing, chopping, and portioning
- execute orders in a timely and accurate manner
- wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- maintain a clean and organized workstation
- stock, rotate, and organize ingredients, supplies, and equipment
- assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- uphold all sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- follow health and safety guidelines including proper use of cleaning chemicals
- help with daily kitchen cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
- support fellow cooks and staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
