Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years cooking experience
  • Food Handlers Certificate
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • reliable transportation to Los Angeles, CA 90013
  • willingness to work in person
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred
  • strong work ethic and willingness to take direction and learn
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Food Handlers Certificate required
  • must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • assist with basic prep tasks such as washing, chopping, and portioning
  • execute orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
  • maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • stock, rotate, and organize ingredients, supplies, and equipment
  • assist in receiving and storing deliveries
  • uphold all sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards
  • follow health and safety guidelines including proper use of cleaning chemicals
  • help with daily kitchen cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
  • support fellow cooks and staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
