We are currently looking for a dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. This hourly position offers $20 per hour with a varied schedule, providing opportunities to work in a supportive, dynamic, and friendly work environment. The Line Cook will work closely under the guidance of the Executive Chef to prepare and present high-quality meals that meet our residents' dietary and taste preferences. Responsibilities include preparing hot and cold dishes, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. The role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a production kitchen
  • Minimum of 1 year food preparation experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Must pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • Minimum of 2 years production kitchen experience with 1-year minimum food preparation experience
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Basic cooking skills and creative food presentation skills

Job Duties

  • Reviews daily menu/work assignments with Entree cook at beginning of shift
  • Prepares soups, salads, starches, vegetables, purees and desserts per production sheets
  • Sets up and maintains all assigned food serving stations
  • Organizes work load to ensure food is ready as scheduled
  • Stores all foods properly, covered labeled and dated
  • Monitors and reports any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to supervisor immediately
  • Cleans and sanitizes all work areas and equipment throughout shift
