Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a production kitchen
- Minimum of 1 year food preparation experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Must pass background checks including fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Minimum of 2 years production kitchen experience with 1-year minimum food preparation experience
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Basic cooking skills and creative food presentation skills
Job Duties
- Reviews daily menu/work assignments with Entree cook at beginning of shift
- Prepares soups, salads, starches, vegetables, purees and desserts per production sheets
- Sets up and maintains all assigned food serving stations
- Organizes work load to ensure food is ready as scheduled
- Stores all foods properly, covered labeled and dated
- Monitors and reports any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to supervisor immediately
- Cleans and sanitizes all work areas and equipment throughout shift
