Job Description

The Line Cook role is integral to our kitchen operations, responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipe specifications on various stations including grill, flattop, fryer, and assembly. Our ideal candidates have experience working in fast-paced kitchen environments or possess a strong eagerness to learn and develop culinary skills. Employment is full-time with an attractive compensation package that includes a competitive hourly wage, topped with a whole house tip pool, which has historically ensured that our Line Cooks earn no less than $21.50 per hour as of 2025. This includes possibilities of shift differentials reflecting additional pay for evening or weekend shifts.

In this role, Line Cooks will maintain consistent food portioning, plating, and overall quality to meet our established standards even during peak service times. They will actively participate in daily mise en place to keep the kitchen line supplied and ensure the safe operation and routine cleaning of assigned stations. Communication and teamwork are critical, as coordinating smoothly with other cooks, expo staff, and servers is essential to maintain efficient service flow. The Line Cook also assists with receiving and rotating deliveries, making sure ingredients are labeled and stored properly following FIFO (First In, First Out) standards. Additionally, Line Cooks are expected to support opening, closing, and deep-clean shits following all food safety and sanitation policies.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications on the line (grill, flattop, fryer, and assembly stations)
  • Maintain consistent portioning, plating, and food quality during high-volume service
  • Follow established prep lists and assist with daily mise en place to keep the line supplied
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and perform routine cleaning and sanitation of your station
  • Communicate clearly with cooks, expo, and servers to expedite orders and maintain smooth service flow
  • Receive, inspect, and rotate deliveries
  • label and store ingredients according to FIFO standards
  • Support opening, closing, and deep-clean shifts as needed and follow all food safety procedures
