Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- Six months of experience in a similar capacity
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with all staff
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work on feet continuously
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends
- Part-time availability
- Current Food Safety Certificate
- Completion of company harassment and violence prevention training
Job Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- At least one year of kitchen preparation and cooking experience
- Experience in similar capacity for at least six months
- Culinary certificate preferred
- Food Safety Certificate required
- Completion of harassment prevention and workplace violence trainings
Job Duties
- Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in various kitchen equipment
- Take full responsibility for the quality of products served
- Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
- Stock and maintain food product levels at line stations
- Portion food products before cooking according to recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstation and kitchen equipment
- Prepare items by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, and marinating
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup
- Handle, store, and rotate food products safely
- Assist in food prep during off-peak periods
- Close the kitchen properly and adhere to closing checklists
- Attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
- Perform additional duties as assigned by kitchen management
