Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • Six months of experience in a similar capacity
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with all staff
  • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work on feet continuously
  • Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends
  • Part-time availability
  • Current Food Safety Certificate
  • Completion of company harassment and violence prevention training

Job Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • At least one year of kitchen preparation and cooking experience
  • Experience in similar capacity for at least six months
  • Culinary certificate preferred
  • Food Safety Certificate required
  • Completion of harassment prevention and workplace violence trainings

Job Duties

  • Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in various kitchen equipment
  • Take full responsibility for the quality of products served
  • Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • Stock and maintain food product levels at line stations
  • Portion food products before cooking according to recipes
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstation and kitchen equipment
  • Prepare items by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, and marinating
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup
  • Handle, store, and rotate food products safely
  • Assist in food prep during off-peak periods
  • Close the kitchen properly and adhere to closing checklists
  • Attend employee meetings and suggest improvements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by kitchen management
