The Line Cook position at Eggs Up Grill is essential to maintaining the high standards of the kitchen and overall guest satisfaction. This role involves working collaboratively with a team to deliver excellent, delicious, and consistently prepared food in a fast-paced environment. Line Cooks at Eggs Up Grill are expected to be proficient in preparing recipes at various stations within the kitchen as well as handling ingredient prep tasks. Food safety is a top priority, and knowledge of ServSafe procedures and regulations is considered crucial to the role. The ideal Line Cook maintains a positive attitude even during stressful and busy kitchen shifts while supporting fellow staff members and kitchen management whenever needed.
Responsibilities include setting up and stocking kitchen stations with all the necessary supplies, preparing food items for service, and cooking menu items while cooperating with the rest of the kitchen staff. Additionally, the role requires proper cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area, ensuring inventory is stocked appropriately, and verifying that food reaches customers at a high quality and in a timely manner. Compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards is critical in the day-to-day performance of this role. The Line Cook is also responsible for completing temperature logs and checklists related to cleaning and maintenance tasks, and participating in other kitchen roles as required, including dishwashing when necessary.

Job Requirements
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef or prep cook
- familiarity and fluency in kitchen terminology
- excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, procedures, and equipment
- accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- familiar with industry best practices
- willingness to pursue ServSafe certification is a plus
