We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Line Cook Supervisor to join the culinary team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen line, maintaining food quality, and leading a team of Line Cooks to meet high standards of food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, proven leadership skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

As a Line Cook Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the preparation of all menu items according to specified recipes and yield guides. You will direct, train, and monitor the performance of Line Cooks, ensuring that all dishes meet the establishment's standards for taste, appearance, and portion control. Your leadership in maintaining organization, cleanliness, and sanitation within the kitchen will be vital in promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

In this role, you will also oversee production and prep work assignments, adjusting priorities as necessary throughout the shift to meet operational demands. Setting up and breaking down workstations with the required mise en place, tools, and equipment is part of your daily duties, as well as completing closing tasks at the end of the day. Communication with the Sous Chef about supply needs is essential to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for daily operations.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment, possesses a high work ethic, and demonstrates self-initiative. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required to support the operational needs of the hotel or resort. Job Requirements

  • Five years experience as a Line Cook at a hotel or resort or restaurant
  • Ability to work all stations on the line
  • Food handling certification
  • High work ethic and self-initiative
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Team-oriented mindset

Job Duties

  • Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides
  • Directs, trains, and monitors performance of Line Cooks
  • Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Prepare and assign production and prep work for Line Cooks to complete
  • Review priorities during shifts and communicate changes
  • Set up work station with mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies
  • Breakdown work stations and complete closing duties
  • Inform the Sous Chef of supply requirements
