Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand and follow direction from others
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
  • Ability to work in high volume, fast-paced work environment
  • Can effectively communicate with management, team members, and guests

Job Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred, Japanese cuisine experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items including hot kitchen dishes such as hibachi, teriyaki, tempura, noodles according to Sushi Masa standards
  • Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before and during service
  • Ensure all food is prepared consistently, quickly, and with attention to presentation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with sushi chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed
