Job Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow direction from others
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
- Ability to work in high volume, fast-paced work environment
- Can effectively communicate with management, team members, and guests
Job Qualifications
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred, Japanese cuisine experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items including hot kitchen dishes such as hibachi, teriyaki, tempura, noodles according to Sushi Masa standards
- Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before and during service
- Ensure all food is prepared consistently, quickly, and with attention to presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with sushi chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist with prep work, inventory, and restocking as needed
