As a cook at Monarch Landing, you will be instrumental in delivering delicious meals that enhance the quality of life for senior residents. This role is perfect for individuals with prior cooking experience, especially those familiar with healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings. Your duties will include preparing ingredients such as chopping vegetables, butchering meats, and preparing sauces, as well as cooking menu items collaboratively with the kitchen team. Timeliness and food quality are critical, as you will help ensure that meals are served simultaneously and meet the high standards expected in a senior living environment.
The position not only offers a chance to work in a culinary capacity but also to be part of a great team in a fun and engaging workplace. The organization also emphasizes employee well-being and growth by providing an array of benefits including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, employer-paid life and long-term disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and much more. This comprehensive benefits package supports employees from their first day, with benefits starting on the first of the month following hire.
Joining Monarch Landing means becoming part of a caring community that values each staff member’s contribution. The organization fosters a positive environment supported by employee appreciation programs run by residents, an employee assistance program, paid time off, paid holidays, discounted meals, a parking garage, and an employee referral bonus program. Whether you are looking to advance your culinary skills or make a positive difference in the lives of seniors, this role offers a fulfilling and rewarding career path.
