As a Line Cook at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent preparation of high-quality food products by adhering strictly to standard recipes and production guidelines. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various cooking duties, preparing and portioning ingredients, and producing meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. You will be expected to uphold all safety and sanitation standards mandated by local, state, and federal agencies including OSHA and the Department of Health, ensuring a clean and well-organized workstation at all times.

This role requires not only strong culinary skills but also excellent time management, communication, and teamwork abilities. You will handle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic kitchen environment, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and customer service. The ability to follow production sheets, use proper portioning and merchandising techniques, and meet tight production deadlines is essential to success in this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining kitchen equipment and following proper rotation and storage practices such as labeling and stock management using FIFO methods.

Our ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of line cook experience and holds a high school diploma or equivalent. While a culinary degree is preferred, it is not required. Candidates must possess an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe) and demonstrate an exceptional personal record of punctuality and attendance. You should be comfortable working in a moderate to high-noise environment with exposure to heat, steam, and sometimes slippery or uneven surfaces. The job demands physical endurance to perform repetitive hand motions, lifting heavy items, frequent standing, walking, and bending.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for production according to recipes/directions
  • assist with food production to include cooking duties
  • participates in food preparation and portioning prior to service by cutting and cleaning a variety of fruit, vegetables, and protein using knives and/or cutting machines
