Job Description

Cinepolis USA is a premier luxury cinema exhibitor that offers an elevated movie-going experience through its distinct theater concepts, including "Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas" and "Movie House & Eatery." Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Cinepolis USA operates 26 luxury and premium theaters across several states such as California, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Maryland, and Ohio, with ambitious plans for further growth and expansion. As a part of Cinepolis International, the most recognized and popular movie theater exhibitor in the world, Cinepolis USA invests in innovation, exceptional hospitality, and film culture to provide unique experiences to its customers. The company emphasizes delivering quality through its luxury amenities, premium food and beverage offerings, and outstanding customer service.

The role available at Cinepolis USA is centered within the operations department of its theater locations, reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager. The job is specifically designed for individuals interested in working in a dynamic kitchen environment where they can showcase their passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering premium food service. This position involves preparing menu items accurately and promptly following orders made through the point of sale system, ensuring each dish maintains a high standard of quality and consistency according to Cinepolis' recipes. Employees in this role are expected to uphold integrity by preparing only the items ordered, accommodate special guest requests when possible, and cooperate closely with kitchen staff to ensure that food is delivered simultaneously, fresh, and on time.

This role is also critically focused on maintaining food safety and operational standards. Responsibilities include adhering to stringent Food Handlers Safety guidelines, proper food labeling and storage, preventing cross-contamination through strict hygiene, and managing inventory effectively using systems like FIFO to minimize waste. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen is a vital part of the job, including washing dishes, cleaning work areas, restocking supplies, and ensuring security of food and equipment. The role requires an ability to work safely, follow open to close procedures, and participate in ongoing training and development sessions.

Applicants with at least a year of professional kitchen experience are highly preferred, particularly those familiar with dishwashing, food prep, cooking, and expediting. Culinary training and ServSafe certification are advantageous but not mandatory, as the company provides training and career growth opportunities for individuals starting at entry-level roles such as dishwasher or prep cook. The job demands physical stamina for standing, walking, lifting, bending, and handling food products over extended periods, along with strong communication skills, the ability to manage stressful situations professionally, and a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.

Cinepolis USA takes pride in its inclusive and respectful workplace, promoting diversity and equal employment opportunities for all candidates without discrimination based on legally protected characteristics. Working at Cinepolis USA means becoming part of a global leader in cinema exhibition where innovation and guest experience are paramount, and team members are valued for their contributions with generous employee perks, discounts, and milestone recognition. This role is a fantastic opportunity for passionate individuals seeking to thrive in a team-oriented, hospitality-driven environment within the entertainment industry.
