Nestled in the vibrant 3rd Ave town center, this AAA Four Diamond hotel features 147 luxurious guest rooms and suites, a trendy first-floor AKB hotel bar, an inviting indoor pool, and over 9,700 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces. The Line Cook position at Archer Hotel Burlington is a key role responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking menu and special orders according to the high standards set by LodgeWorks. This role demands meticulous attention to food safety and sanitization, involving thorough cleaning of kitchen and food preparation areas, dishwashing sections, storage spaces, and service areas. The Line Cook collaborates closely with sales and service teams to cater to guests at the hotel's restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, events, and catering functions.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards
  • inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • ensure the freshness and proper storage of food
  • set up, clear and break down the workstation
  • utilize a variety of kitchen equipment throughout each shift and follow all safety procedures
  • identify hazards and assess risks associated with food and equipment and report all hazards, risks and maintenance problems to the manager
  • control waste and use appropriate portion sizes to maintain food costs
  • monitor food inventories and maintain appropriate levels
  • prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • practice safe work practices, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • clean working and storage areas, tools, equipment and floors as needed
  • maintain all sanitation requirements, including temperature, storage, product rotation and product handling
  • execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation
  • assist in any other task and duties as requested by management
