We are hiring Line Cooks on a part-time to full-time basis, offering a starting compensation of $18.00 per hour plus tips. This role is essential in ensuring that each dish leaving our kitchen is prepared with precision, care, and attention to detail. Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing a diverse range of food items according to company recipes and specifications, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. This position demands a strong sense of urgency, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, often noisy environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a high-volume restaurant setting, specifically with breakfast, brunch, and lunch service.

As a Line Cook, you will contribute significantly to the success of our restaurant by following all food safety protocols, handling ingredients properly to ensure quality and safety, and closely adhering to menu guidelines and customer dietary preferences. Effective communication with coworkers and management is required to maintain smooth kitchen operations and meet customer expectations. Additionally, this role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds multiple times per day. Job Requirements

  • At least 16 years of age

  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 25 lbs several times a day
  • Demonstrate adequacy in proper handling and use of knives
  • Previous experience in a high volume restaurant setting is preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in breakfast, brunch, lunch service
  • Minimum 1 year of restaurant industry experience in kitchen areas strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare a diverse range of food items following company recipes and specifications
  • Set up and prepare for service using various cooking equipment
  • Safely operate cooking equipment such as grills, stoves, and fryers, demonstrating proficiency with all tools and machinery
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas during and after service
  • Handle all food products properly, following health department and company standards, and ensure correct temperatures on all ingredients
  • Follow verbal and written instructions, communicating effectively and professionally with coworkers and management
  • Follow order tickets from a POS system, preparing orders to customer dietary restrictions and/or preferences
