The company is currently seeking a Lead Cook to join its team at the Rancho San Joaquin location in Irvine, California. This full-time role offers an hourly pay range of $22 to $24 and is integral to maintaining the high standards of food preparation and guest satisfaction that American Golf is known for. The Lead Cook plays a pivotal leadership role in the kitchen, overseeing food preparation during shifts, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes served, and supporting kitchen leadership with maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. The position requires a hands-on leader who is deeply involved in the cooking process, setting the pace for the line, training new team members, and navigating high-volume service periods with professionalism and efficiency. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong physical stamina to stand and lift heavy items
  • excellent communication skills
  • willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to train and lead kitchen staff
  • dependable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of cooking experience in a fast-paced or high-volume kitchen environment
  • previous leadership or trainer experience preferred
  • strong working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • reliable attendance and schedule flexibility
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts and ensure timely, accurate food execution
