The Staten Island FerryHawks Stadium, one of Staten Island's premier sports and entertainment venues situated along the picturesque waterfront, is seeking a skilled and dependable Line Cook to join their team. This role is integral to the food service operations during games and events at the stadium. The Line Cook's primary responsibility is to prepare and cook high-quality menu items, ensuring fans enjoy timely, delicious food offerings while upholding the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.
The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and adhering strictly to health regulations and safety protocols. The Line Cook will be expected to maintain cleanliness and organization at the cooking and prep stations, monitor inventory, assist in setup and breakdown of stations, and collaborate closely with kitchen staff and runners to provide efficient service to concession stands.
Additionally, this role comes with the opportunity to assist in training and mentoring less experienced kitchen staff, ensuring team efficiency especially during high-volume periods. The candidate must practice safe work habits and comply with all venue and company policies. A positive and collaborative attitude towards customers, co-workers, and management is essential.
This is a non-traditional hours position which includes nights, weekends, and holidays, offering a competitive hourly wage of $20.15, commensurate with experience. The job also includes a generous benefits package featuring medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and a 401k plan. The working location is 75 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY, 10301. The physical demands include the ability to lift or maneuver objects weighing at least 25 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and perform activities requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a cooking or food preparation role preferred
- ability to lift and maneuver at least 25 pounds
