Job Description
The Old Spaghetti Factory is a well-established, family-owned Italian restaurant chain that has proudly served delicious Italian cuisine since 1969. With a rich history spanning over five decades, The Old Spaghetti Factory is dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere where patrons enjoy hearty, classic Italian dishes prepared with care and tradition. The company operates 42 locations across 12 states, extending its family-friendly dining experience from Honolulu to Louisville. Emphasizing a culture of positivity, teamwork, and a true sense of belonging, The Old Spaghetti Factory fosters an inclusive environment for all its team members, encouraging them to grow personally and professionally within the company.
The Old Spaghetti Factory is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line Cook to join their collaborative kitchen team. The Line Cook plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the restaurant by carefully preparing dishes with precision and attention to detail. While basic kitchen knowledge is preferred, the company welcomes applicants who are eager to learn and capable of following step-by-step instructions accurately. The position requires multitasking abilities and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure to meet the high standards of quality and appearance that the restaurant is known for.
In this role, the Line Cook will be responsible for following specific cooking methods, managing timing and temperatures, and observing portion sizes especially related to pasta dishes, which are a hallmark of the restaurant's menu. They will also maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring proper handling, storage, and labeling of all food items. The ability to work harmoniously with other chefs and kitchen staff members is essential, as coordination and communication are key to fulfilling special customer requests and maintaining an efficient workflow.
In addition to cooking, Line Cooks will perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen. They will also be required to follow all safety policies and practices to maintain a secure and safe working environment. Physical stamina is important in this fast-paced environment, as the role entails continuous standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
This position offers paid training, flexible scheduling with weekly pay, and opportunities for career advancement within the company. The Old Spaghetti Factory also provides employees with discounted meals during shifts and an extensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance as mandated by the Affordable Care Act. Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) retirement plan, and the company supports staff well-being through an Employee Assistance Program with 24/7 access to a Well-Being Advisor. Additional benefits include prescription savings, credit, housing, and debt counseling services, an ESG Adviser, and life and AD&D insurance plans.
The Line Cook role at The Old Spaghetti Factory is ideal for individuals who are eager to develop their culinary skills in a supportive and friendly environment, value teamwork, and want to contribute to a family-oriented dining experience that customers love. Applicants can apply online or in person during the specified hours, and the job posting remains open until the positions are filled.
