The role of Culinary Supervisor at Brush Creek Ranch is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals who aspire to advance their careers in a luxury resort setting. This position involves mentoring and training junior kitchen staff such as Cooks III, interns, and stewards while gaining hands-on experience in daily kitchen operations and supervising line shifts. The Culinary Supervisor will learn and practice all culinary duties and food production standards to prepare for higher supervisory responsibilities. Key job functions include adherence to health and safety regulations, careful inspection and storage of food products, maintaining accurate food preparation records in line with HACCP guidelines, and managing both food and labor costs to ensure operational efficiency. In addition, this role is vital in fostering a respectful and cooperative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth among the stewarding department.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
- Willingness to learn and take on supervisory responsibilities
- Valid driver’s license for operating ranch vehicles
Job Qualifications
- Creativity, energy, and a commitment to excellence
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Proficiency in cooking techniques such as sauteing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery
- Knife skills and experience with cooking and preparation equipment
- Culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Mentor and train Cooks III, interns, and stewards while learning to execute daily operational duties and supervise line shift production
- Learn and practice all culinary duties and food production standards in preparation for a supervisor role
- Follow all Food and Beverage Work Location Ways Standard Operating Procedures (WLW SOPs), health department regulations, and federal guidelines
- Inspect all incoming foods for freshness and proper specifications
- Store raw foods and prepared items following mandated procedures
- Maintain food prep records in accordance with HACCP guidelines
- Manage food cost and labor cost, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimizing overtime
- Supervise and mentor the stewarding department for career development and potential advancement
- Maintain a respectful and cooperative work environment, fostering teamwork
- Assist with moving supplies to multiple ranch venues and operating a ranch vehicle or ranger
