The Full-Time Line Cook role at Kahala Nui is a vital position within their culinary team. This role reports directly to the kitchen leadership and is key to preparing meals that meet the dietary and quality needs of the community's residents. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food in required quantities while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining the high departmental quality standards that Kahala Nui upholds. The role demands efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards. You will be expected to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and served timely. Moreover, when the kitchen leadership team, including the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or Lead Cook, is absent, you will play a leadership role in overseeing and managing food production, ensuring smooth kitchen operations without compromising quality or safety. - minimum two years experience as a cook preparing full line menu items
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to multitask and stay organized in fast paced environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
- proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations
- must be available to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays
